CO-STAR-Center Intensive Outpatient Program

We realize that the transition from high school to college is an important developmental milestone in the path from adolescence to adulthood. Students with mood and anxiety disorders often need additional support in this process. Therefore, in 2017, the STAR - Center extended clinical services by creating an IOP for depressed, anxious and/or suicidal under-graduate college students, ages 18-24.

The goal of the STAR College Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is to partner with local colleges and universities to provide rapid and comprehensive assessment and treatment for depressed, anxious, and suicidal college students.

Typically, these would be college students ages 18-24 “stepping down” from the acute inpatient level of care following a suicidal episode; students in crisis presenting at the WPIC Emergency Room (DEC) or students in crisis at the University Counseling Centers.
